Not all professionals are perfect and at times things do go wrong, in these situations you may be entitled to compensation
If you feel like you have not received the correct advice, or have received inadequate service or an important deadline or time limit has been missed, such as a court hearing or the limitation period for your personal injury matter has passed, then you may have a claim for professional negligence.

Often professional are covered by Legal Indemnity Insurance, so when complaints are made against such professionals, claims are usually made against the professional persons insurers, which works allot like car insurance claims. We can claim against:

2. Make an Official Complaint with the Office of Supervision of Solicitors, however making a complaint with the OSS does not cover areas of negligence. Usually any grievance made with the OSS would only cover situations where the solicitor has not met the standard required or not provided you with adequate information, or has failed to advise you appropriately. In such cases the OSS can discipline the solicitor in question and/or compensation.

COSTS

Should you have a complaint and wish to discuss your case with one of our solicitors, then simply call us to book a meeting, we will listen and advise you accordingly.

We do charge a FIXED FEE INTERVIEW of £90 PLUS VAT, however there is no time restriction on the meeting and no obligation to instruct us any further on the matter. We will also confirm what was discussed during the meeting in a follow up letter.
