Civil litigation covers a wide range of disputes between individuals, companies, local authorities and government departments.
Civil disputes usually involve a breach of contract, where two or more
parties have made some sort of agreement and one or more of those
parties has failed to keep their side of the deal. Such agreements can
be oral/verbal agreements or written contracts.

Our firm is very experienced in resolving civil disputes whether it be
through negotiation or through Court proceedings.

We have dealt with all kinds and sizes of claims involving amounts
ranging from £1000 to over £50,000.


WHAT IF I THINK I HAVE A CLAIM?

Unfortunately the fact that you have a claim is not an instant guarantee that you will succeed. You will need to be very sure of your chances of success before instructing lawyers as civil litigation can be costly.

We offer a FIXED FEE INTERVIEW of £90 PLUS VAT. During this meeting we will listen to the facts and then advise you as to your chances of success. We will inform you of exactly what you would need to prove you case and estimate the costs involved if you proceed with your claim.

You should bear in mind that not all civil disagreements reach the court, as it is possible to negotiate a settlement before that point.


WHAT IF I'M DEFENDING A CLAIM AGAINST ME?

If someone has brought a claim against you, it is best to instruct a professional to act for you as often the claim can be settled out of court.

You may even have a claim against the person who is claiming against you. (Known as a counter claim) or you may have a claim against a third party involved in the dispute. If you want advice on a counter claim please book a meeting as mentioned above.
